Annual Physical Examination cost - $65.00

Recheck Examination - $35.00

Emergency Walk in Examination - $80.00

New York State law requires the Rabies Vaccine.  We will not hospitalize your pet for any reason if he/she is not up to date with the rabies vaccine.  The first rabies vaccine is a 1-year after that they are good for 3 years.

The cost of the Rabies vaccine - $32.00 / (age – 12 weeks)

The DAPP/Distemper Vaccine is required, of all dogs to be hospitalized for any reason.  The DAPP stands for Canine Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2 Parainfluenza-Parvovirus.

This vaccine requires several booster vaccines, 3-4 weeks apart.  After the final booster is given this vaccine is given annually or every 3 years, per Dr. Hartman’s discretion.

The cost of the DAPP vaccine - $32.00 / ( first booster age – 6 weeks)

The Leptospirosis Vaccine is recommended, and is given to prevent your dog from getting Leptospirosis. Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease that is caused by bacteria found in stagnant water, puddles, ponds, etc.The first time your dog is given the vaccine he/she will need a booster 3-4 weeks later.  Then it is given annually.

The cost of the Leptospirosis vaccine - $32.00 /  (first booster age – 10 weeks)

The Lyme Vaccine is recommended, and is given to prevent your dog from getting Lyme disease.Lyme disease is very common in New York State and is transmitted by Ticks.

The first time your dog is given the vaccine he/she needs to have a booster in 3-4 weeks.  Then it is given annually.

The cost of the Lyme vaccine - $36.00 / (first booster age – 10 weeks)

The Bordetella or Kennel Cough Vaccine is recommended, and is given to prevent your dog from getting a common respiratory infection, caused by the Bordetella bronchiseptica bacteria.  This vaccine is given orally and given annually. 

The cost of the Bordetella vaccine - $32.00 / (age-10 weeks)

The 4DX /Heartworm test is recommended every year.  This blood test checks for Heartworm, and also tick born illnesses Anaplasmosis, Lyme, and Ehrlichia.

This test is mandatory before we can dispense heartworm prevention.

The cost of the 4DX test - $55.00.

Heartworm Prevention is recommended year round for the best protection.  We carry Heartgard Plus and Interceptor Plus which is a once a month preventative.

Flea and Tick control is also available. Please speak to staff for available products and what would work best for your animal. 


Checking your animals stool is very important. We recommend bringing a fresh sample in once a year.

This vaccine requires several booster vaccines, 3-4 weeks apart. After the final booster is given this vaccine is given annually or every 3 years, per Dr. Hartman’s discretion.

The cost of the FVRCP vaccine - $32.00

The Felv/FIV Test is required, for all cats to be hospitalized for any reason. This will test for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. This test takes approximately 10 minutes to run, and if your pet is never exposed to any unknown cat, the test will never need to be repeated.

The cost of the Felv/FIV test - $53.00

The Felv/Leukemia Vaccine is recommended, and is given to prevent the very contagious disease leukemia. The Leukemia Vaccine is strongly recommended for any cat that goes outdoors or if there is or will be exposure to other cats. The first time your cat is given the vaccine he/she needs to have a booster in 3-4 weeks. Then it is given annually.

The cost of the Leukemia vaccine - $32.00

We recommend deworming on a regular basis, this is left to Dr. Hartman’s discretion, if you ever notice intestinal parasites please call the hospital promptly.

We also offer Interceptor Plus for prevention against heartworms and intestinal parasites such as,  roundworms and hookworms.
